Function:
The State Rehabilitation Advisory Council for the Blind gives advice and recommendations to Rehabilitation Services for the Blind, a section of the Division of Family Services on all matters pertaining to services available to blind and visually impaired Missourians.

Compensation: Members receive reimbursement for realized and necessary expenses.
Member Requirements: Members must represent the Statewide Independent Living Council; The Missouri Parents Act (MPACT); client assistance program; a community rehabilitation program; 4 representatives of business, industry, and labor; disability advocate groups; a vocational rehabilitation counselor; current or former applicant/recipient of vocational rehabilitation services; a representative from the State Education Agency responsible for the individuals with Disabilities Education Act; a representative of the State Workforce Investment Board; a majority of the members must be persons with disabilities. The Deputy Director of Rehabilitation services for the Blind shall be an ex-officio, nonvoting member of the Council.
