Mission:
The Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Rules protects people and property in the State of Missouri from injury or damage that could be caused by the failure of a boiler or pressure vessel.
Function:
The Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Rules interprets statutes and rules and develops rule changes relating to the safe construction, installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of boilers and pressure vessels in Missouri. The board also reviews "state specials" not fully complying with the statutes and rules.
