Mission:
The Missouri Assistive Technology Advisory Council works to increase access to assistive technology for all Missourians with disabilities through a variety of programs and services.
Function:
The Missouri Assistive Technology Advisory Council serves as the state grantee for the federal Assistive Technology Act, PL 108-364 and is responsible for administration of the state telecommunications equipment distribution program (RSMo 209.251-259) and the state assistive technology financial loan program (RSMo 191.865-867).

Member Requirements: 1 member must be a member of the House of Representative; 1 must be a member of the Senate; 12 must be consumer representatives including individuals with disabilities, parents, spouses, or guardians of individuals with disabilities and representing a variety of types of disabilities, age groups, and locations; and 9 must represent state agencies including 1 representative of division of vocational rehabilitation, 1 representative of the division of special education, 1 representative of the department of insurance, 1 representative of rehabilitation services for the blind, 1 representative of the division of medical services, 1 representative of the department of health, 1 representative of the department of mental health, and 2 representatives of other agencies or organizations responsible for the service delivery, policy implementation, and funding of assistive technology
