Gov. Jay Nixon today appointed Richard Scheibe, of Warrenton, as the new Associate Circuit Judge for Warren County. The position became available upon the election of the Honorable Wesley Dalton as Circuit Judge.

He has been with the Missouri Public Defenders Office since 1998, and has served on several criminal law committees of the Missouri Bar Association. Scheibe obtained his law degree, as well as his master's and undergraduate degrees, from the University of Missouri.

"Richard Scheibe has several years of experience in practicing before the courts in Warren and St. Charles counties," Gov. Nixon said. "That experience will serve the people of Warren County well as he takes the bench as their new Associate Circuit Judge."
