Gov. Nixon appoints St. Louis attorney Ellen Ribaudo as associate circuit judge in 21st Circuit
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Gov. Jay Nixon today announced the appointment of St. Louis attorney Ellen (Nellie) Ribaudo to fill a vacancy for associate circuit judge in the 21st Circuit, which encompasses all of St. Louis County. The position became available upon the naming of the Honorable Gloria Clark Reno as a circuit judge for the 21st Circuit.
Ribaudo has practiced law in the St. Louis metropolitan area for the past 13 years, most recently with the firm of Rosenblum, Schwartz, Rogers & Glass LLC. Prior to that, she was an attorney with the Missouri State Public Defender's Office. Her experience has included extensive criminal and civil trial work. She also is an adjunct professor at St. Louis University School of Law teaching trial advocacy.
Ribaudo earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton in 1993 and her law degree from St. Louis University School of Law in 1996. She was one of three applicants submitted to the Governor for consideration by the 21st Circuit Judicial Commission under the Missouri Nonpartisan Court Plan.
