Gov. Nixon signs two omnibus transportation bills, 23 other bills into law
JEFFERSON CITY - Gov. Jay Nixon today signed into law Senate Bill 480 and House Bill 1402, two omnibus transportation bills. In addition, the Governor today also signed the following bills into law:
- Senate Bill 485, which deals with liens;
- Senate Bill 489, which deals with weapons;
- Senate Bill 599, which deals with gifted education and other education issues;
- Senate Bill 625, which deals with retirement systems;
- Senate Bill 665, which deals with conveyances;
- Senate Bill 729, which deals with purchases by Boone and Greene counties;
- Senate Bill 755, which enacts the "House of Worship Protection Act";
- Senate Bill 769, which deals with state and local standards;
- House Bill 1029, which deals with oversight and fiscal review;
- House Bill 1106, which deals with elections;
- House Bill 1150, which deals with titles and liens;
- House Bill 1231, which provides a purchasing preference for Missouri forest products and bricks;
- House Bill 1251, which is an omnibus natural resources bill;
- House Bill 1280, which deals with peer review for design professionals;
- House Bill 1323, which deals with child care providers and includes "Sam Pratt's Law";
- House Bill 1400, which deals with investments and other financial matters;
- House Bill 1498, which deals with liquor sales;
- House Bill 1504, which deals with sales taxes;
- House Bill 1540, which deals with workers' compensation;
- House Bill 1644, which deals with the Missouri Gaming Commission;
- House Bill 1647, which deals with public safety;
- House Bill 1820, which deals with conveyances; and
- House Bill 1827, which deals with electronic payments.
