
Gov. Nixon helps open new home for Black Archives
Gov. Nixon, Cong. Emanuel Cleaver II and Black Archives board chair Barbara Peterson (second from left) were among those who cut the ribbon at the new home of the Black Archives of Mid America in Kansas City on June 15. The Archive are home to important artifacts and documents chronicling the African-American experience in the United States; Gov. Nixon played a key role as Attorney General in revitalizing the Archives.
