Rock Island Trail - Katy Connector

Gov. Jay Nixon and Director Mark Templeton, of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, announce that construction is expected to begin this month on the Rock Island Trail-Katy Connector near Pleasant Hill, Mo. Construction will begin at Pleasant Hill and head east, toward Windsor, Mo. When completed, the 42-mile connector will allow enthusiasts to travel the Katy Trail from Pleasant Hill all the way to St. Charles, Mo. - a total distance of 267 miles. This expansion will bring new economic opportunities to the communities along the connector, as more than 350,000 visitors from across the nation use the trail each year.download
