Gov. Nixon and U.S. Rep. Ike Skelton, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, were joined by military leaders in signing copies of the Community Covenant. The signing took place at Military Appreciation Day at the Missouri State Fair on Aug. 15. The covenant signifies and strengthens the support of Missouri for members of the armed forces and their families.
