Gov. Nixon, Cong. Emanuel Cleaver II and Black Archives board chair Barbara Peterson (second from left) were among those who cut the ribbon at the new home of the Black Archives of Mid-America in Kansas City on June 15. The Archive are home to important artifacts and documents chronicling the African-American experience in the United States; Gov. Nixon played a key role as Attorney General in revitalizing the Archives.download
