Governor Parson's Schedule for September 6 - 10, 2022
Next week, Governor Mike Parson will attend various meetings and events across the state. He and members of his Administration will also continue discussions with legislative leaders and key stakeholders in preparation for the special session for historic income tax cuts and the extension of agricultural tax credits.
On Tuesday, September 6, Governor Parson will host a ceremony at the State Capitol for former Columbia Mayor Brian Treece to be sworn in as a commissioner of the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission (MHTC).
Tuesday evening, Governor Parson will attend the Pro-Am Draw Party in St. Louis.
On Wednesday, September 7, Governor Parson will join Department of Public Safety Director Sandy Karsten to present 23 first responders with Missouri Public Safety medals for heroic, life-saving, or extraordinary acts beyond the call of duty to protect the public during 2021. The Governor will award, for the first time, Missouri’s new Red, White, and Blue Heart Award to first responders severely injured in the line of duty. Three of the Red, White, and Blue Heart Awards will be bestowed posthumously. The Governor will also present four civilians awards for exceptional acts to assist first responders and the public during 2021.
Additionally, Governor Parson will attend the One Year Celebration for the Missouri Office of Childhood and participate in a ribbon cutting ceremony for Ostara in St. Louis.
On Thursday, September 8, Governor Parson will participate in a ribbon cutting ceremony for the completion of Route 50 bridge at Chipman Road in Lee's Summit completed by the Missouri Department of Transportation as part of Governor Parson's Focus on Bridge's program. He will also visit the WWI Museum and Memorial in Kansas City and speak at the Missouri Retired Teachers Association annual meeting in Osage Beach.
On Saturday, September 10, Governor Parson will attend the Orscheln Fall Party in Moberly.
