Gov. Greitens orders flags to half-staff in McDonald County on Wednesday to honor firefighter who died in line of duty

Gov. Eric Greitens has ordered that the flags of the United States and the State of Missouri at all state government buildings in McDonald County be flown at half-staff on Friday (October 27) in honor of Firefighter Garrett Angel Paiz of the Noel Fire Department. Firefighter Paiz, age 38, died on October 16 while serving as a contracted wildland firefighter for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. 

Under Gov. Greitens’ order, U.S. and Missouri flags at state buildings in McDonald County will fly at half-staff from sunrise until sunset on October 27, 2017, the day the funeral services for Firefighter Paiz will take place.
