Today, Gov. Eric Greitens announced the following appointments.
Board of Private Investigator and Private Fire Investigators Examiners
James Heatherly was appointed as a member of the Board of Private Investigators and Private Fire Investigators.
Heatherly is the Owner of S2 Consultant, a private investigation firm in Springfield. He serves as an All-Source Intelligence Analyst for the United States Army in the Missouri National Guard. Heatherly holds a bachelor’s degree in mass media production from Missouri State University.
Child Abuse and Neglect Review Board
Courtney Kovachevich, Donna Jo Neely, and Allie Chang Ray were appointed as members of the Child Abuse and Neglect Review Board.
Kovachevich is a nurse at Barnes Jewish Hospital in the Cardio Surgery unit. Previously, Kovachevich was a NICU Staff Nurse at Mercy Hospital. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College. Kovachevich is pursuing a doctorate degree to become a Family Nurse Practitioner at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville.
Neely serves as the Executive Office Administrator at Missouri Kids First, where she has been since 2009. She has been an active member of both the Jefferson City Chamber of Commerce and Callaway County Relay for Life. Previously, she had worked at Embarq, a telephone company.
Ray is the Principal & Independent Consultant of Mutare Network LLC and an Adjunct Instructor in the Washington University Brown School of Social Work. Ray holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Coordinating Board for Higher Education
Carl Bolm, Bobby Robertson, and Shawn Saale were appointed as members of the Coordinating Board for Higher Education.
Bolm is the Founder and Owner of Investa Management, parent company of BSR Services, Cedar Lake Cellars, and The Battlegrounds Mud Run. He is a member of the Snow and Ice Management Association Board of Directors, Old Newsboys Board of Directors, Entrepreneurs’ Organization, and Bussey Bank Advisory Board.
Robertson is CEO of Omnigo Software and Chairman of the Board of HEALTHCAREFirst Inc., a healthcare software technology company. He is an active member of Young Presidents Organization. Robertson holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Louisiana Tech University.
Saale is a partner at Saale & Bailey, LC. He specializes in estate law, business succession planning, and charitable giving. Saale holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics and a law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Jackson County Sports Complex Authority
Kevin C. Childress was appointed to the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority.
Childress is the President and CEO of MyFreightWorld Technologies, Inc., a transportation management company. Childress serves on the Board of Directors of Powell Gardens, Kansas City’s Botanical Garden, the Cancer Advisory Board of St. Luke’s Health System and the Trustee Development Committee of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
Missouri Gaming Commission
Daniel Finney III was appointed to the Missouri Gaming Commission.
Finney is principal at the Law Office of Daniel P. Finney III. He serves as a board member of Birdies for Bipolar, a charitable organization dedicated to raising awareness and support for those suffering from mental illness and their families. Finney holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Montana and a law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law.
Missouri State University Board of Governors
Amy Counts was appointed as a member of the Missouri State University Board of Governors.
Counts is a Senior Account Executive for Wise F&I. She serves as a board member for St. Louis Artworks. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Restaurant Administration from Missouri State University.
Public School Retirement System of Missouri, Board of Trustees
Beth Knes was appointed as a member of the Public School Retirement System of Missouri, Board of Trustees.
Knes was Executive Director of Student Services for Rockwood School District. Knes holds bachelors’ degrees in education and psychology from Washington University, a master’s degree in special education from Washington University, and a master’s degree in educational administration from Lindenwood University.
Safe Drinking Water Commission
Fred Schmidt was appointed as a member of the Safe Drinking Water Commission.
Schmidt has been the President of FWS Land Strategies, a real estate brokerage, investment and consulting company, for over 25 years. Schmidt formerly served as a trustee of the Home Builders Association of St. Louis. Schmidt holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Maryville University.
St. Louis City Board of Elections
Gerre Kraemer was appointed as a members of the St. Louis City Board of Elections.
Kraemer worked as Deputy Assistant Democratic Director for the St. Louis Board of Election Commissioners. Kraemer is active in the Merchant’s and Manufacturer’s Board as the Vice-Chairman, and a member of Boulevard Heights Neighborhood Organization. Previously, Kraemer was the 12th Ward Committeewoman for the St. Louis City Democratic Central Committee.
St. Louis County Board of Elections
Sharon Buchanan-McClure and Matt Potter were appointed as members of the St. Louis County Board of Elections.
Buchanan-McClure worked as the Director of Public Affairs for the Department of Mental Health for the State of Missouri. She is a former co-chair and current member of the United Way of Greater St. Louis, and a member of the Board of Governors at Opportunity International. Buchanan-McClure holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Potter is Vice President at U.S. Bancorp Community Development Corporation. He was previously Deputy Director of the City of St. Louis Board of Election Commissioners, Assistant Circuit Attorney for the City of St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office, and an Associate at HeplerBroom. Potter holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Truman State University, and a law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
State Board of Education
Claudia Oñate Greim and Doug Russell were appointed as members of the State Board of Education.
Oñate Greim currently works as Compliance Counsel for Lockton Companies in Kansas City, Missouri. She serves as a trustee on the Kansas City Public Library Board of Trustees. Oñate Greim obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University and a law degree from Harvard Law School.
Russell is the President of Durham Company, which specializes in the design, manufacturing, and sales of products in the electrical utility marketplace. Russell is active in the Rotary Club, Lebanon Trustees, and Lebanon Ambassadors. Russell holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
David Corley was appointed to the Tourism Commission.
Corley is a director at JTL Enterprises, Inc. He has formerly worked on military accounts and national accounts for Octane Fitness, LLC and is owner of UpperDuck Hunting, LLC. Corley holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice administration from Columbia College.
