Governor Eric Greitens has appointed Jason M. Sengheiser, of St. Louis, as a Circuit Court Judge for the 22nd Judicial Circuit, which covers the City of St. Louis.  The position became vacant due to the retirement of the Honorable Julian Bush.

Judge Jason Sengheiser is an Associate Circuit Court Judge for the City of St. Louis.  Prior to serving on the Associate Circuit Court, Sengheiser was a law clerk for the Honorable Robert G. Dowd Jr. of the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District.

Judge Sengheiser received his law degree from the Saint Louis University School of Law and his LL.M from Columbia University School of Law.  He is a board member for the Missouri Bar Board of Governors, the Young Friend of Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, and Paraquad.  In 2013, the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division awarded him the National Outstanding Young Lawyer award, and the Missouri Bar has awarded him the Young Lawyers’ Section Chairperson’s Award three times.

“Jason Sengheiser brings to the circuit bench an impressive background in public service and the law, and has distinguished himself as a dedicated member of the St. Louis community,” said Governor Greitens.  “I am excited to appoint him as the newest circuit judge for the City of St. Louis.”
