Governor Eric Greitens has appointed Timothy J. Boyer, of St. Louis, as Circuit Court Judge for the 22nd Judicial Circuit, which covers the City of St. Louis.  The position became vacant due to the retirement of the Honorable Philip D. Heagney.

Timothy Boyer is an Associate Circuit Judge for the City of St. Louis.  Before his appointment to the associate bench, Judge Boyer served for 9 years as an assistant circuit attorney for the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office.  He began his legal career at Stinson Morrison Hecker (now Stinson Leonard Street) and later worked at Thompson Coburn LLP.  Judge Boyer received his law degree from Saint Louis University and his undergraduate degree from Bradley University.

“Judge Boyer brings a diverse set of experiences to the circuit bench, from his experience as an associate circuit judge, to his years as both a prosecutor and private practitioner,” said Governor Greitens.  “I am confident he will make an excellent addition to St. Louis City’s Circuit Court.”
