Today, Governor Eric Greitens appointed Senator Jamilah Nasheed, Representative Bruce Franks, Representative Kevin Corlew, and St. Louis radio host and philanthropist LaTeacha Tigue to the Governor’s Committee to End Homelessness.
The committee, originally established via executive order by then Governor Bob Holden and extended under later Governors, was created to examine resources available and best practices to help end homelessness in the state. The committee will consider what steps other states have taken and examine how those states have coordinated local and national resources.
“We have a duty to help our most vulnerable citizens,” said Governor Greitens. “I look forward to the leadership Senator Nasheed, Rep. Franks, Rep. Corlew, and Ms. Tigue will bring to this committee.”
