Acting Governor Kehoe Signs Four Bills, Executive Order 19-11

JUNE 28, 2019

 — While Governor Parson was traveling outside the country, the powers of Governor were devolved upon Lieutenant Governor Kehoe. Governor Parson was effectively absent from the state from June 23, 2019, through July 2, 2019. During this timeframe, Lieutenant Governor Kehoe was given consent to move on certain action items.

“I am grateful for Governor Parson’s leadership and appreciate the trust and confidence placed in me in his absence,” said Acting Governor Kehoe. “Each of the four bills I signed are significant to Missourians across the state, especially to Missouri's agriculture and tourism industries. All are important to moving Missouri forward.”

Acting Governor Kehoe signed four pieces of legislation while serving as Acting Governor:

  •         SB 133 relating to agriculture.
  •         SB 275 relating to healthcare.
  •         SB 397 relating to the petition process for the creation of a museum and cultural district.
  •         HB 612 relating to the Missouri state council on the arts.

Additionally, he signed Executive Order 19-11, which establishes the Missouri Food, Beverage, and Forest Products Manufacturing Task Force. Click here to view EO 19-11.

Next week he will make appointments to the Route 66 Centennial Commission.

Governor Parson will return to the State of Missouri July 3, 2019.
