Governor Mike Parson hosted a working dinner Wednesday evening at the Governor’s Mansion with agricultural leaders across Missouri. The Governor and leaders addressed agriculture priorities and concerns, including the drought, infrastructure needs, expanding trade opportunities, and workforce development.

Governor Mike Parson visited Springfield, MO on Thursday to sign an income tax cut bill that will allow Missouri families to keep more of their paychecks. This new tax cut will boost Missouri’s economy with reforms to both the individual income tax and the state’s business tax.

Governor Mike Parson met with rural Missouri mayors in Odessa on Wednesday for a roundtable discussion. The roundtable consisted of challenges and priorities that local municipalities are facing. Some of the topics discussed were infrastructure and workforce development.

Today, Governor Mike Parson stopped in Warrensburg for the ribbon cutting at Dollar Tree’s 1.2-million-square-foot distribution center. In addition to the new facility, Dollar Tree plans to invest $110 million and create 375 new jobs by 2020. The new facility was first announced in April 2017.

Governor Mike Parson stopped in Sedalia on Tuesday to promote job growth and announce the expansion of yearbook manufacturer Jostens. Having outgrown their primary facility and secondary coil and fulfillment center, the company will be consolidating to a larger facility and expanding its production lines.

Today, Gov. Mike Parson signed a proclamation to declare June 2018 as Missouri State Employee Recognition Month to honor State of Missouri employees.

Today, Governor Parson signed 15 bills, including Senate Bill (SB) 592 sponsored by Senator Dan Hegeman and SB 644 sponsored by Senator Mike Cunningham.
