Governor Parson's Schedule for May 4 - May 11, 2024
Next week, Governor Mike Parson will attend several meetings and events.
On Saturday, May 4, Governor Parson will attend Missouri Beef Day's Boots and Bling event in Bolivar and present a proclamation proclaiming May 2024 to be Beef Month in Missouri.
On Monday, May 6, Governor Parson will host several interest groups in his office for proclamation presentations. He will begin by presenting a proclamation for Foster Care Month to Department of Social Services Children's Division leadership and foster youth. Governor Parson will then present a proclamation for Children's Mental Health Week and Tardive Dyskinesia Awareness Week to Missouri Department of Mental Health and National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) leadership. He will then present a proclamation recognizing Missouri Holocaust Remembrance Day to members of the Missouri Holocaust Education and Awareness Commission at the Governor's Mansion.
Governor Parson will then return to his office to present a proclamation to childcare providers, teachers, and members of Child Care Aware Missouri recognizing Childcare Provider Appreciation Day. He will end the day presenting a certificate of recognition to the Smith-Cotton High School Robotics team, recognizing their first place finish at the World Robotics Championships.
On Tuesday, May 7, Governor Parson will travel to Queen City to celebrate Schuyler County achieving ACT Work Ready Community status. He will then travel to Kirksville to hold a signing of his book No Turnin' Back on Truman State University's Campus. Governor Parson will end the day in Hannibal with a book signing event at the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum.
On Saturday, May 11, Governor Parson will participate in the College of the Ozarks Commencement Ceremony.
