Governor Parson's Schedule for November 28 - December 6, 2024

Following the Thanksgiving holiday, Governor Mike Parson will attend various meetings and events.

Thursday, November 28, State offices closed in observance of Thanksgiving holiday.

Friday, November 29, State offices closed per Executive Order 24-15.

On SaturdayNovember 30, Governor Parson will travel to Kansas City to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for the grand unwrapping of its 2024 KC Giving Machine. This will allow Kansas City residents and visitors to donate items to international and local charities of their choice with the touch of a button.

On Monday, December 2, The Governor's Mansion Christmas tree will arrive between 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. A portion of Madison Street will be closed during this time.

On Friday, December 6, Governor and First Lady Teresa Parson will unveil Governor Parson's official portrait, commemorating his tenure as Missouri's 57th Governor. The unveiling of the Governor's portrait will coincide with the grand opening and ribbon cutting event for the new Hall of Governors exhibit in the State Capitol.

Former Governors, their chiefs of staff, and other select dignitaries have been invited to a VIP reception to be held in the Governor's Office (Room 216) upon the event's conclusion. This is an invitation-only event, but media are invited to attend for the first 15 minutes. Media details are below.

Governor and First Lady Parson will end the day hosting their final tree lighting ceremony and Candlelight Tours at the Missouri Governor's Mansion. This year's theme is "A Christmas Hug: The Farewell to the Parson Family."
