Gov. Mike Parson Declares June as State Employee Recognition Month

 — Today, Gov. Mike Parson signed a proclamation to declare June 2018 as Missouri State Employee Recognition Month to honor State of Missouri employees.

“State of Missouri employees work tirelessly each and every day, committed to making the lives of Missourians better,” Parson said. “In all my years in state government, it has been an honor to witness the devoted, loyal service of state employees.”

Parson continued, “It is important to take time out every year to honor state employees. While we celebrate them this month, I sincerely appreciate their hard work every day, year-round.”

“State of Missouri employees provide vital services to our citizens that keep our great state moving forward. They keep citizens safe, healthy and supported,” said Sarah Steelman, Commissioner of the Missouri Office of Administration. “We all owe them our thanks for the public service they provide.

This proclamation is another installment in the state’s effort to honor and recognize state employees for their service to the State of Missouri. Agencies will celebrate their employees in a variety of ways across the state this month. We encourage citizens to join the State of Missouri in thanking Missouri state employees for their service to the state and its people.
