Today, Governor Mike Parson appointed Amy R. Ashelford as Associate Circuit Judge for the 6th Judicial Circuit. She will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Dennis Eckold.

Today, Governor Mike Parson announced that the Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) has awarded $75 million through the Industrial Site Development Grant Program for 15 projects across the state. The program, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and part of Governor Parson's Fiscal Year 2023 budget plan, is focused on helping communities develop shovel-ready industrial sites to support business expansion and attraction.

Today, in honor of Missouri’s fallen law enforcement officers, Governor Mike Parson has ordered the Missouri State Capitol dome and Missouri Law Enforcement Memorial to be lit blue from sunset on Friday, May 5, 2023, until sunrise on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

For the month of April 2023, Governor Mike Parson granted 26 pardons pursuant to Article IV, Section 7 of the Constitution of the State of Missouri. Official documents have been filed with the appropriate government agencies and have been sent to the individuals. Families have been or are in the process of being notified. 

Today, Governor Mike Parson announced 169 school districts and charter schools have received grants from the newly created School Safety Grant Program.

Today, Governor Mike Parson announced he will appoint Brad Eidson as Associate Circuit Judge for Texas County in the 25th Judicial Circuit. Mr. Eidson will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Doug Gaston. 

Today, Governor Mike Parson signed Senate Bill (SB) 51, which allows Missourians more direct access to physical therapy services, into law. A signing ceremony was held in Governor Parson's office at the State Capitol where he was joined by SB 51 sponsors, Senator Karla Eslinger and Representative Brenda Shields, and other stakeholders.

Today, Governor Mike Parson announced that the Missouri Department of Public Safety has approved 428 grants totaling over $6.3 million to law enforcement, fire service, and EMS providers across the state for new equipment, supplies, personnel, and training. Grant funded equipment includes patrol vehicles, mobile data terminals, firefighter turnout gear, extrication equipment, cardiac monitors, and emergency communications radios. Grants to additional law enforcement, fire service, and EMS agencies are still under review.

Today, Governor Mike Parson announced the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has approved his request for a disaster declaration in response to the April 5 severe storms and EF-2 tornado that caused extensive damage in Bollinger County and surrounding areas.
