Today, Governor Mike Kehoe announced a judicial appointment to the 6th Judicial Circuit.
Blake Sherer, of Parkville, was appointed as Circuit Judge for Platte County in the 6th Judicial Circuit.
Mr. Sherer currently serves as an assistant prosecuting attorney for Platte County. He is a member of the Federalist Society, the National District Attorneys Association, and the Missouri Association of Prosecuting Attorneys. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Alabama, Master of Arts in History from the University of Nevada–Las Vegas, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law. Sherer will fill the vacancy created by the appointment of Judge Megan B. Benton to the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
