Governor Kehoe Announces Five Gubernatorial Appointments

Today, Governor Mike Kehoe announced five gubernatorial appointments.

Robert Alpers, of Prairie Home, was reappointed to the Clean Water Commission.

Mr. Alpers is the secretary and treasurer of Alpers Brothers Farms Inc. He is an active member of several agricultural boards and organizations, including the United Soybean Board, Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council, Missouri Soybean Association, and Missouri Farm Bureau. He also serves as chairman of the Cooper County Ambulance District and is a member and past-president of the Prairie Home Lions Club. He is a graduate of the Syngenta Leadership and Missouri Agriculture Leaders of Tomorrow leadership programs.

Susan Diraimondo, of St. Louis, was reappointed to the St. Louis City Board of Election Commissioners.

Ms. Diraimondo worked for the St. Louis City Board of Election Commissioners for more than 15 years before retiring. During her tenure, she served as judge recruiter and trainer, assistant deputy democratic director, and manager of recruitment and voter outreach. She earned an associate's degree from Southeast Missouri State University.

Tom Pirmantgen, of New Bloomfield, was appointed to the State Rehabilitation Council.

Mr. Pirmantgen currently serves as an attorney and application unit chief at Missouri Protection and Advocacy Services. He previously worked as an attorney at Lake Law Firm LLC. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern Illinois University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri School of Law.

John Scalise, of Columbia, was appointed to the State Rehabilitation Council.

Mr. Scalise is president and CEO of Job Point, a nonprofit employment center and community development corporation. He remains active in his community as a member of Starling, a nonprofit trade association supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities living and working throughout Missouri. Scalise earned a bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation with a minor in psychology from Central Missouri State University.

John Twitty, of Springfield, was appointed to the Missouri Ethics Commission.

Mr. Twitty is the recently retired president and CEO of the Missouri Public Utility Alliance. Prior to this role, he served as executive director of the Transmission Access Policy Study Group, as well as roles at Rolla Municipal Utilities and City Utilities of Springfield. Twitty currently serves on the board of directors for the Central Bank of the Ozarks and the Mizzou Alumni Association. He is a former member of the Missouri State Lottery Commission, the Mercy Springfield Communities board, and the Jordan Valley Community Health Center board. Twitty holds a professional degree in business administration from Missouri S&T and a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Missouri.
