Today, Governor Mike Kehoe announced the retirement of Commissioner Kenneth (Ken) J. Zellers from the Missouri Office of Administration (OA), effective September 4, 2026.
"Ken's years of dedicated service at both the Office of Administration and the Department of Revenue have led to transformational improvements in how state government operates and serves Missourians," said Governor Kehoe. "With his business mindset and background, Ken provided valuable insight and leadership to teams under three separate administrations. I want to thank Ken for his service, and I join the rest of the Cabinet in wishing him and his family well in this next chapter."
Zellers has held the role of OA Commissioner since his Senate confirmation in March 2022, after being appointed as Acting Commissioner in October 2021 by Governor Parson. Prior to his service at OA, Zellers served as Chief Operating Officer, Acting Director, and Director of the Missouri Department of Revenue (DOR), where he led transformative efforts to improve customer service and efficiency. Before joining state government, Zellers held numerous senior roles at Anheuser-Busch InBev, most recently serving as the Global Director, Operations Brewing and Quality.

"I am grateful to have had the opportunity to do my part in improving state government operations and the customer experience for all Missourians. I would like to thank the Office of Administration team and the many colleagues I have had the pleasure of serving with throughout the years."
The Office of Administration serves as the administrative and managerial arm of the State of Missouri government, responsible for coordinating the central management functions of state government to help departments operate efficiently and effectively. The Commissioner of Administration is appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate and serves as the Chief Administrative Officer with oversight of seven divisions along with various programs, boards, and commissions.
