Governor Kehoe Announces Six Gubernatorial Appointments

Today, Governor Mike Kehoe announced six gubernatorial appointments to various boards and commissions.

Aaron Delbruegge, of Sullivan, was appointed to the Missouri Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

Mr. Delbruegge is an effective practice specialist of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program for the Special School District of St. Louis County. He previously served as an adjunct professor at Southwestern Illinois College. Delbruegge has served with the Missouri Association for the Deaf, National Association of the Deaf, and Catholic Deaf Ministry – St. Louis. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management with concentrations in history and deaf studies from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Marsha Haefner, of St. Louis County, was reappointed to the St. Louis County Board of Election Commissioners.

Ms. Haefner served as president of Haefner’s Farm & Greenhouses before selling the business to dedicate herself to public service. She was later elected as Missouri state representative for the 95th District, where she served until 2018. Haefner earned an associate degree from Meramec Community College before earning a bachelor’s degree in parks and recreation from the University of Missouri - Columbia.

Leah Harris, of St. Louis, was appointed to the Regional Convention and Visitors Commission.

Ms. Harris is the senior vice president of treasury management for The PNC Financial Services Company/PNC Bank. She is a member of the St. Louis Treasury Management Association and The Gateway Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, and serves as vice chair of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis Board of Directors. She is also an appointed member of the Westminster Place Special Business District. Harris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Stephens College.

Robert Land, of Dexter, was appointed to the State Technical College of Missouri Board of Regents.

Mr. Land served as vice president of risk management and training for the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives for 28 years before retiring. He is a Certified Loss Control Professional, a graduate of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Management Internship Program, and a member of the State Technical College of Missouri Foundation Board. Land holds a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies with an emphasis in communication and management from Southeast Missouri State University.

Paul Lenhart, of Crestwood, was appointed to the State Rehabilitation Council.

Mr. Lenhart works in human resources and disability inclusion at Mercy Hospital - Saint Louis. He previously served as a coordinator for St. Louis Arc. In 2010, he received the Big Picture Award for his contributions to community education. Lenhart is a graduate of Lindbergh High School.

Shannon Porter, of Crocker, was reappointed to the Missouri Statewide Independent Living Council.

Ms. Porter is the CEO of Empower: Abilities. She currently serves as chair of the Missouri Statewide Independent Living Council and President of the Missouri Centers for Independent Living. Porter holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Drury University.
