JEFFERSON CITY, MO — On Monday, January 13, 2025, Governor-Elect Mike Kehoe will be sworn in as Missouri’s 58th Governor.

Monday, January 13, 2025
6:30 a.m. | South Lawn closed for security sweep.
7:00 a.m. | South Lawn reopens for live shot opportunities.
9:00 a.m. | Salute to Heroes event begins in Capitol First Floor Rotunda.
10:00 a.m. | Salute to Heroes event concludes.
10:00 a.m. | Governor-Elect Kehoe to gavel in Missouri Senate.
11:30 a.m. | Inauguration Ceremony begins on Capitol South Lawn with welcome by Andy Blunt, Chairman of Securing Missouri’s Future Inaugural Committee, and departure of Governor Michael L. Parson.
11:37 a.m. | Joint Session called of the Missouri General Assembly to order by Senator Cindy O’Laughlin.
11:40 a.m. | Oaths of office administered to Attorney General, State Treasurer, Secretary of State, and Lieutenant Governor.
12:00 p.m. | Oath of office administered to Governor Mike Kehoe by Senator Roy Blunt, followed by 19-gun salute and flyover.
12:03 p.m. | Governor Kehoe delivers inaugural address.
12:13 p.m. | Performance by 135th Missouri Army National Guard Band.
12:20 p.m. | Inauguration Ceremony concludes.
12:45 p.m. | Day One Action Ceremony in the Governor’s Office.
*This event will begin promptly following the Inauguration Ceremony and is open to media and invited guests only.
1:45 p.m. | Promenade of the Budweiser Clydesdales from the Missouri State Capitol to the Missouri Governor’s Mansion.
2:00 p.m. | Meet-and-Greet with Governor Mike Kehoe and First Lady Claudia Kehoe at the Missouri Governor’s Mansion.
7:00 p.m. | Grand March and Inaugural Ball.

Media credentials may be picked up from the Governor’s Office, Room 218, starting at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13. Media must wear credentials distributed at check-in.
Reserved parking spots for satellite trucks and an equipment drop-off station for other members of the media will be available on High Street and Lot 1C. Media without a satellite truck will park in Lot 12 on Missouri Boulevard at West Main Street. A parking map of the Capitol Complex can be found here.
A live stream of the inauguration ceremony will be available on Governor Kehoe’s Facebook page, the State of Missouri Facebook page and the State of Missouri website.

When requesting credentials, please include the following:
- News outlet name
- Name of reporters, photographers, and satellite truck operators
- If you are bringing a satellite truck (available length of SDI Cable Run)
- If you will be dropping off equipment at the High Street drop-off station
- If you are bringing a LiveU or other cellular pack
- If you need Ethernet capability

Governor Kehoe to Host 2025 Governor’s Prayer Breakfast

JEFFERSON CITY, MO — On Wednesday, January 15, 2025, Governor Mike Kehoe and the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast Committee will host the annual Governor’s Prayer Breakfast in Jefferson City. Josh Smith, Founder and CEO of Fourth Purpose, will be the keynote speaker.
The Missouri Governor’s Prayer Breakfast is an annual faith-based event for all Missouri leaders and citizens, with the purpose of seeking God’s guidance for state government leaders at the beginning of the 2025 legislative session.
